En Motion will be celebrating our official move to 74 Duxton Road by
bringing to all of you ONE week of exciting workshops, performances and
parties!
Starting with Bachata Guru in Town (28th - 31st August)
If you had missed him last year, JUAN RUIZ is back! And this time round,
he will bring along his HOT sexy partner, JOSIE COTE from Bachateros
Australia!
Born in Ecuador, and situated in Australia now, Juan is one of the
most sought after Bachata Instructor in the scene. He has taught
hundreds of workshops throughout Australia as well as the USA and is
also one of the organizers of the successful ‘Sydney
Bachata Festival’.
Juan’s unique Bachata style is known as
Bachata Moderna, which is
a mixed flavor of Zouk, Kizomba, Tango, Hip Hop, R&B and many other. He
has an incredible talent of fusing the passion these dance styles have &
yet remains true to Bachata form, maintaining the feeling & emotional
elements that makes Bachata what it is.

Bachata Moderna Beginners &
Body Movement
Get ready to step outside your current Bachata square
– the new Bachata Moderna style is going to take your Bachata to a new
and exciting level!. A combination of the Dominican, Standard and
Traditional styles of Bachata, the Moderna style is the new evolution of
the dance. This workshop will involve going through the fundamentals and
body movements of the new style, the correct ways to lead these
new moves. This workshop invites beginner/intermediate students who are
confident with their Bachata basic as well as those who feel they have
achieved all they can with their Bachata and want to learn how to add
more intensity and flowing movement to the style we love. You’re going
to love it.
Bachata Moderna Intermediate Combo A & B
A follow up from the introduction to Bachata Moderna.
This 2 workshops will introduce you to turn patterns that incorporate
all the new fundamentals you would have obtained in our introduction
workshop. These moves will enable you to move more freely across the
dance floor and ladies, be ready to follow the unexpected leads as
Bachata is no longer about moving from one side to the other!
Bachata Moderna Advance
Do you
know what “Cross on 1, Cross on 2, Cross on 3 and Cross over” means?
Then you are ready for the advanced moderna workshop. We will be adding
quick hand leads and speedy direction changes into turn patters without
losing the sensuality that bachata is all about. These moves are going
to make your bachata stand out from the rest of the people on the dance
floor so get ready to be popular!!!!
Bachata Lady Styling
Check out
those sexy and sensual moves, executed perfectly by the beautiful Josie.
A class that will add flair and sensuality in Bachata Dancing for all
ladies.
Bachata Dips & Sexy Tricks
Picked up
some interesting and new dips for your Bachata Dancing. Various tips and
techniques will be shared during the class. On top of that, expect some
special Sexy partner work tricks that will sure wow your peers on the
dance floor.
Bachata Shines
Don’t have a partner to dance with when your
favourite Bachata song comes on? Don’t worry; with the new Pasitos de
Bachata you don’t need a partner! In this fun, yet challenging workshop,
we will open your mind to another side of Bachata and introduce you to
ways that you can interpret the music and play with the rhythm on your
own.
Bachata Performance Boot Camp
A
highly popular class from Juan & Josie, especially for all students who
has the urge to perform, this is a NOT-TO-MISS class. A THREE-hour
training session with Juan and Josie, where you get to learn new moves,
performance tips and a mini choreography to be showcase on the
Opening Party Night itself!
